Almacenes La 14 announced the closure of its store in Bogotá, which will be running until November 16. The news was released this Tuesday through social networks, with an official statement.

“Our store in Bogotá operates until November 16, 2020. We wait for you (…) in our warehouses in the rest of the country,” says the document. The supermarkets will continue serving their other 35 points distributed in Valle, Cauca, the Coffee Region, Huila and Cundinamarca.

The chain, which did not specify the reasons for such determination, arrived in Bogotá in 2011 and is located in the Calima shopping center.

However, after the health emergency derived from the civid-19 pandemic, it was learned that the company was going through a difficult time as a result of the economic crisis after mandatory preventive isolation.

According to Dinero’s ranking of the 5,000 largest companies in Colombia in 2020, La 14 is ranked 178 with sales of $ 971,223 million, which is equivalent to a variation of -13.8% compared to the previous year.

Regarding the box of its profits, it reported -120,445 million with a variation of 64.8%.
