The capture of alias “Perra” indicated as the determiner of the massacre of four people in El Carmen de Bolívar took place together with 13 other alleged members of a criminal gang known as Pacho Pistacho that commits crimes in the south of Bolívar.

“Linked to micro-trafficking and responsible for at least seven homicides in this municipality, among those captured is this alias the ‘Perra’, who according to the investigative work would be linked as one of the determinants and material authors of the massacre of four people in El Carmen Bolívar two days ago, “said Defense Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo.

This man had already served a 3-year sentence in 2016 for conspiracy to commit a crime and is linked to other homicide cases in the area.

Minister Trujillo reiterated that among the actions to combat massacres in the country due to drug trafficking disputes is the eradication of crops for illicit use.

“Forced eradication, voluntary eradication, where there is provision for substitution of alternative development crops and we continue to advance in all of them in compliance with the conditions imposed by the Constitutional Court so that spraying can be restarted in Colombia,” said Trujillo.

The Defense Minister made the announcement at the end of an operational meeting in Medellín with the leadership of the Police and the National Army.
