In the last hours, they managed to capture and prosecute Juan Carlos PP, alias El Flaco or Duván, as the alleged leader of the Western Front of the Gaitanistas Self-Defense Forces of Colombia or Clan del Golfo and who was within the cartel of the most wanted for attacks against social leaders.
In the development of the investigation, the accusing entity showed that alias El Flaco had participated in the homicides of Messrs. Wilder Elías Godoy Restrepo and León Humberto Alcaraz Godoy, former president and former vice president, respectively, of the Community Action Board of the La Milagrosa district of Santa Fe de Antioquia, perpetrated in September 2019.
For these facts, the Prosecutor’s Office charged Palacio Pulgarín with the crimes of aggravated homicide in competition with a conspiracy to commit aggravated crime, and manufacture, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.
The guarantee control judge, at the end of the concentrated hearings, accepted the request of the prosecutor in the case and imposed a measure of deprivation of liberty in a prison.
The Prosecutor’s Office makes this information public for reasons of general interest.
