With a pale 0-0 at Alberto Grisales, Águilas Doradas and Millonarios closed the 14th date of the BetPlay League. The ambassador team, which had as a great novelty the ownership of Andrés Murillo and Fredy Guarín, could not with the Rionegro team and took a point during their visit to Antioquia territory.

In a busy first half, Águilas Doradas was the first to give the warning on Thursday night. In the 11th minute, when Millonarios seemed to be better positioned on the court, a shot off the post by Kevin Castaño set off the alarms of the goal defended by Juan Moreno.

Precisely, that shot helped the Antioqueños to take flight in their stadium and dominate the match, because minutes later, Christian Marrugo, former player of Millonarios, received a ball from César Arias to take a shot from medium distance, which passed very near the portico of the capital complex.

On the 18th minute, Juan Moreno returned to be the protagonist, and with a wonderful save, he prevented Millonarios from leaving with the scoreboard against at halftime. The ambassador goalkeeper saved César Arias, who was left alone in front of the goalkeeper after receiving a good assist from Marrugo.

However, Millonarios, true to his style, woke up and began attacking on the wings with Daniel Ruiz (left) and Émerson Rodríguez (right). In the 38th minute, a play that began with Ómar Bertel from the defensive zone, left Alberto Gamero’s team very close to the first goal of the match.

The left-back came out playing from his sector, to move the play to the right side, where Elvis Perlaza was, who put a cross in the direction of Cristian Arango, but, unfortunately for the ambassador, the header of the blue ’10’ was saved by the goalkeeper, Carlos Bejarano. On the rebound, Bertel, who had accompanied the play, took a powerful left foot that ended up crashing into the post of the local goal.

In the second half, Albeto Gamero realized the shortcomings of his team and brought in Kliver Moreno – he replaced Juan Carlos Pereira – to regain control of the midfield at Alberto Grisales.

With Moreno on the court, the visit closed spaces between the lines and he looked much more solid when he retreated. However, Águilas Doradas, led by Francesco Stifano, did not stop proposing his game and with medium distance shots he turned on the alarms in the Millonarios goal. Eliser Quiñones, a former Albiazul player, tried from medium distance in the 60th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.

In the final stretch of the game, Émerson Rodríguez, one of the jewels of the Bogota quarry, in a flash of talent, swept, from the outside to the inside, with the defense of Águilas Doradas to assist Daniel Ruiz, who, by remaining in profile changed, he took a few extra seconds to adjust to his skillful leg (left) and finish on goal. However, his shot was intercepted by the defense and ended up being invalidated, by out of place of Chico Arango, when he was left with the rebound of the play.

With the tie, Millonarios (one game less) reached 23 points and was placed in the eighth box of the League, leaving four units behind the leader, Atlético Nacional. On the other hand, Águilas Doradas reached 12 units and was left with box 13.
