Accident in Villeta leaves one dead and several injured

This holiday Monday there was a serious traffic accident in the kilometer 40 of the road that connects Guaduas with the municipality of Villeta, Cundinamarca, in the morning hours.

According to official information from the authorities, the emergency left one person dead and four injured.

The events occurred when a private car hit the truck, the driver of which was a young man from 19 years who lost his life in the place.

“The other four companions, young people also university students, are out of danger receiving medical assistance”said General Carlos Rodríguez, commander of the Traffic Police.

Likewise, one of the survivors of the accident suffered a moderate head trauma and the others presented lower limb fractures.

The traffic accident was attended by the Guaduas volunteer firefighters, with the support of the Highway Police.

Corporal Jeyson Aguilar, the Guaduas municipality fire commander who attended the emergency first-hand, said in an interview with Semana Noticias that “Two vehicles with five units left and arrived at the site where they found several injured people and one person trapped inside the vehicle. Vital signs are taken, but this person no longer has any signs ”.

Likewise, through social networks the images of the accident were made public that show that the truck went off the road and was against an area of ​​vegetation, while the private car is completely destroyed in the front.

Corporal Aguilar also reported that the criminalistics team of the Traffic Police took over the scene to begin the investigation of the events and gave details about the release of the person who was trapped in the vehicle.

“Fortunately these days they are making some arrangements on the road, so there are two ambulances available 24 hours a day and other ambulances were also provided by the hospital. Thanks to that, we were able to quickly refer patients, the delay was to get to the site ourselves ”, shared the cape.

Although the cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed, Jeyson Aguilar commented on the possible hypotheses during the interview with Semana.

“Apparently, when we arrived at the scene we evidenced the braking of the truck. Apparently the accident occurred due to an invasion of the lane by the driver of the car. This road has a lot of curves, so it was on one of those curves that he tried to pass some vehicles and found himself head-on against the tractor-trailer “Aguilar said.
