A Villavicencio judge sent Carlos Andrés Sandoval Villamizar, the young university student who mourned the death of his girlfriend Natalia Fernández Montoya, to prison and later confessed that he had murdered her.

The revelation of Carlos Andrés, 23, in the sense that he had intentionally beaten her out of jealousy, as well as the opinion of Legal Medicine allowed to file charges for the femicide of the student at the University of Los Llanos.

The known versions initially suggest that the two students argued on Monday night and the young man brutally attacked her in the middle of the argument, causing his death in one of the rooms on the second floor of Natalia’s house, located in the Primavera neighborhood of Villavicencio.

In principle, Carlos Andrés was released, but after the authorities received the Legal Medicine report, he was captured in Monterrey (Casanare) by the Police, transferred to Villavicencio and presented before the San Juanito Municipal Promiscuous Court for prosecution.

The Legal Medicine report determined that the student died after receiving blows to the face, thorax and extremities, as well as mechanical asphyxia due to strangulation.

The Prosecutor’s Office imputed charges against the detainee for the crime of aggravated femicide, which was not accepted, but was under arrest. If found guilty for the alleged acts, Carlos Andrés could receive a sentence of between 41 and 50 years in prison.

Carlos Andrés and Natalia were studying at the Universidad de los Llanos and were about to finish their careers.
