In a historical event in Colombia, three students obtained the perfect score in the Saber 11 tests. They are Andrea Lorena Cárdenas from Santander, Luis Ángel Vargas from Meta and Alejandro Salas from Atlántico.
Every year, eleventh grade students in Colombia take the Saber 11th tests, known as Icfes.
The exam assesses the students’ competences in basic areas, such as language, mathematics, English, logic, among others.
In December 2020, about 550 thousand students presented, in person, the State tests despite the pandemic.
On Friday the results of the test were known and brought several joys to Colombian homes, including one in Santander.
The Secretary of Education of Floridablanca, Pedro Osma, stressed that the institution is the first in the region to return to the classroom from the alternation mode and is now also the first to obtain these important results that certify educational quality.
For his part, the mayor of Floridablanca, Miguel Ángel Moreno, congratulated the school and the young woman from Santander, who now wishes that these positive results allow her to access a scholarship to study Medicine.
