A policeman died in the middle of a shooting registered this Saturday in eastern Cali

A police sergeant would have died in the middle of a shooting that took place this Saturday afternoon. In addition, one of the alleged criminals also lost his life at the scene.

The exchange of shots was registered at about 2:30 pm on Calle 29 with Carrera 40A, in the La Independencia neighborhood, east of the capital of Valle.

Apparently, four people had committed a robbery in the El Limonar neighborhood, the Police began the persecution until they were cornered in La Independencia.

Residents of the sector affirm that authorities and alleged criminals fought each other, seriously injuring a sergeant attached to the El Guabal Police Station.

The officer was transferred to the Carlos Carmona hospital, where he would finally die due to the severity of his injuries.

At the scene of the events, one of the alleged thieves was killed. Additionally, the capture of two people was achieved.

It is expected that during the day the authorities will pronounce on this new act of violence in the city.
