A 2-year-old baby died of COVID-19 in Quindío

According to the information from the epidemiological bulletin of the departmental health secretariat, a 2-year-old baby died in Montenegro from COVID-19, in addition to the death of a 74-year-old woman in Armenia.

Also this Sunday the report revealed 71 new cases of the disease. The infections were registered in: Armenia, 36; Calarcá, 28; La Tebaida, 3, and Filandia, Circasia and Pijao with one case each.

With the figures, the department reaches 2,780 cases of contagion, 1,702 recovered and 83 deaths. Of the total of confirmed cases; 959 of those who are active are at home, 29 hospitalized and 7 in the Intensive Care Unit, ICU.

In the country and according to the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, there are 6,678 new cases, reported in districts and departments such as: Bogotá with 1,830, Antioquia with 1,412, Santander with 451, Valle del Cauca with 407, Cundinamarca with 301, Meta with 195 , Guajira with 190, Cesar with 167, Huila with 161, Risaralda with 129, Quindío with 124, Tolima with 110, Norte de Santander with 108 and Casanare with 104.

The death toll is 169, with Colombia reaching 24,208 deaths from the pandemic. 765,076 infected have been in Colombia since the pandemic began and 633,199 have recovered. In the world there are 30,835,922 cases, 21,103,731 recovered and 957,790 deaths.
