Colombia reports 8,651 new covid-19 infections and Bogotá rebounds with 2,130 cases

The Ministry of Health reported, this November 11, 8.65148.716 new cases of coronavirus in Colombia. In the last 24 hours, 49,438 tests were processed, 30,189 are PCR and 18,527 antigens.

The report also indicates that the number of deaths in the last 24 hours is 164. Thus, the country reaches a total of 33,312 deaths since the virus reached the national territory.

Colombia has in total 1,165,326 cases of covid-19, of which 59,015 are active cases and 1,070,423 correspond to positive cases that have already overcome the disease.

Regarding the contagion of covid-19 by cities and departments of the country, Bogotá and Antioquia continue to lead, followed by Valle del Cauca.

There are 1,590 conglomerates in the country. The territories are: Amazonas, Antioquia, Arauca, Atlántico, Barranquilla, Bogotá, Boyacá, Bolívar, Caldas, Caquetá, Cartagena, Casanare, Cauca, Cesar, Chocó, Córdoba, Cundinamarca, Huila, La Guajira, Magdalena, Meta, Nariño, North from Santander, Putumayo, Quindío, Risaralda, San Andrés, Santa Marta, Santander, Sucre, Tolima, Valle, Vaupés, Vichada, Guaviare and Guainía.

Minsalud reiterated its commitment to Buenaventura

During his tour of Buenaventura, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Fernando Ruiz Gómez, arrived in Juanchaco for the inauguration of a new health post at the service of the population.

The head of the Health portfolio assured that the delivery of the center symbolizes “The agreement, the constancy and the work between the local government, territorial government, community and national government”.

“Beyond what the walls, the floors and everything we have done represent, this is the sample of integration that today is seen with immense satisfaction, of which the National Navy has also been a part”, he added.

In the current government, he argued, the fulfillment of the agreements has been consistent through integrated work. “The $ 356 million, of which $ 59 were a contribution from the Mayor’s Office, invested in this center are a sample of that”.

From a personal point of view, Ruiz Gómez indicated, “In the months that I have been a minister, we have gone territory by territory, we have already had 36 visits, including rural areas knowing their needs. In health there is only a possibility if we have that closeness between the territorial level and the national level and for that reason today we say we are here to comply ”.

“The invitation is to take care of our goods. Today we deliver this and it belongs to everyone, from the community, everyone to contribute to its maintenance and monitoring that a good service is being provided and, if necessary, notify if there are deficiencies ”, he added.
