Arrest warrants were issued against three men involved in the murder of Oswaldo Muñoz on a TransMilenio bus

The authorities are advancing in the investigations in order to capture the man who murdered Oswaldo Muñoz and his accomplices on a TransMilenio bus during an alleged robbery, on the morning of Thursday, October 29.

According to police investigators, the three men involved have already been identified and individualized, and they would be Venezuelan citizens. A guarantee control judge has already issued three arrest warrants against these men for the crime of aggravated homicide.

However, the investigators speak of a fourth implicated, who, in the key video that the authorities have for the investigation, would be the man who runs out of the station, while the three accomplices throw themselves into the street from the doors from the TransMilenio station on Calle 85, where the events occurred.

That room involved would be the one who gave the 41-year-old waiter the fatal wound and of whom the authorities released a spoken portrait. For this man, the Police offers 20 million pesos as a reward.

Since last month, the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá reported that a specialized group from the Police Department took over the investigation into the passenger’s crime. Authorities are looking for the man in the spoken portrait and three other suspects, who would be part of a gang of criminals dedicated to theft in the means of transport.

The news program Noticias RCN recently released unpublished images of the moment in which assailants steal his cell phone and stab Oswaldo Muñoz at the TransMilenio 85th street station last October. These images are part of the material that the Prosecutor’s Office is analyzing to find the criminals who took the life of the waiter by profession.

According to the authorities, The video is key material to find those responsible for the death of this 46-year-old man who was on his way to his workplace when he was approached in a joint and mortally wounded in his leg.

In the scenes, revealed by RCN News, it is evident that on the day of the events, the victim was sitting on the TransMilenio bus, further ahead, in the main car, were the attackers, also passengers.

At 9:54 a.m., a time known as ‘off-peak’, the attackers decided to go to the back of the bus, intercept Oswaldo, shave his cell phone and when he opposed it, one of them decided to stab him several times.

While the attack was developing, one of the subjects blocked the door of the articulated to make the escape easier. When they did not achieve their mission, they stabbed Oswaldo, got off the articulated and as if nothing, they walked out of the station.

Another video, already inside the station, reveals that one of the assailants pretended to speak on a cell phone, another jumped through the passenger access gates in the middle of the north highway and another walked along the edge of the station waiting to flee.

Minutes later, it was revealed that the assailants were running through the park on 83rd Street, near the scene of the events.

At this moment, the case is in the hands of the Prosecutor’s Office, who assure that they have already fully identified the aggressor. In addition, the Muñoz event is in the office of a prosecutor from the Life Unit attached to the Bogotá section.
