In an interview with La W, the former president assured that during the presidential campaign in the United States, the Colombian ambassador in Washington, FRancisco Santos, spoke to a Pentagon contractor to ask how he could help the President of the United States, Donald Trump.
“There is a strategist, a Pentagon contractor, who has helped Colombia a lot in past governments. The ambassador called him and asked him how he could help Trump. Santos also assured that there should be a change in the embassy in Washington to “rebuild relations” and said that, although the alleged interference of Colombian officials in the elections may not have implications in the relations between the two governments, it may have consequences in relations with the United States Congress.
