ORn hitman would have revealed the location, in the rural area of Sabana de Torres, of Bernardino Meleán Frontado, alias ‘Willy’ or ‘Nino’, one of the most wanted men in Bogotá and Venezuela, who also would have acquired a luxurious residence in the Ruitoque sector in Floridablanca.
This was revealed yesterday, according to information from the Bogotá Metropolitan Police authorities, who were following in the footsteps of the leader of the band ‘Los Meleán’ for more than 10 months.
The subject is attributed more than a dozen homicides in the Colombian capital, as well as other criminal actions in at least eight cities in this country, including Bucaramanga.
In addition, three red Interpol circulars weighed against him, since he was the most wanted criminal in the state of Zulia, in Venezuela, where he was from.
The operation was carried out in the San Pedro de Sabana de Torres village at dawn on Friday, November 6. There, ‘Willy’ and one of his henchmen were discharged, while two of his hitmen were captured.
Simultaneously in Bogotá they captured two other of his men.

One of the revealing details concerns the way in which the investigators of the elite group of the Police found the leader of the gang. An infiltrator would have managed to convince a hit man to hand over information. This criminal, who now negotiates for criminal benefits, indicated where the farm was where the feared ‘Willy’ was hiding.
From there he gave the orders through phone calls, which were also intercepted by the authorities. More than 30 recordings are in the possession of the Prosecutor’s Office. In them, Meleán is heard coordinating the cocaine trafficking, the extortions of merchants, the multiple homicides and even the brothels he owned.

Meanwhile, it was learned that in the Las Colinas village, in the Ruitoque Mesa in Floridablanca, alias ‘Nino’ had acquired a ranch with a luxurious home where his relatives had lived for several months.
The place was raided by the Police and the Prosecutor’s Office at the time when the man and his gang were confronting the authorities.
