The National Government and the mayor Claudia López again had a new confrontation on Thursday through social networks. The cause this time was the decision of the Ministry of Health not to request PCR tests for covid-19 from international travelers.
(In context: The reasons why they will no longer request a PCR test to enter the country)
The mayor of Bogotá said that “This is an error and an unnecessary risk” and that “air transport and tourism are not reactivated, indiscriminately bringing symptomatic and infected passengers.”
For López, this measure “spoils efforts that must be maintained and sustained in the care and management of the pandemic in Bogotá and Colombia.”

This generated the response of the Government, which arrived this Thursday afternoon on behalf of Diego Molano, director of the Administrative Department of the Presidency (Dapre).
The Casa de Nariño official said that the mayor “reacts by eliminating PCR for internal flights, recommended by @opsoms, but before the minga in Palacio de los Deportes (+4000 people) How many PCR and what PRASS did they do?”
And I add: “Are you neglecting your role as health authority? #LasCosasComoSon and coherence above all”.
