At the end of September, the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá announced the return of the ‘peak and plate’ in the city, a measure that was suspended for several months due to the covid-19 emergency.
With the ‘new normal’ vehicular traffic increased, so the measure will continue in force for the month of November.
The Ministry of Mobility announced the schedules and exceptions that currently apply from November 2 to 9 for private cars. Those who do not comply with the measure may receive a fine of 438,000 pesos.

Remember that, if you use a shared private vehicle, you can register on the Bogotá Ministry of Mobility page and obtain a permit to circulate even on peak days. However, it should be clarified that the exception only applies when the car carries three or more passengers who move from the same point and to the same destination.
The process must be carried out every week and if these requirements are not met, you can lose this benefit for six months and receive a subpoena.
