The Colombian Nairo Quintana (Arka-Samsic) highlighted the weight of the time trial in the next edition of the Tour de France, whose route was presented this Sunday in Paris, and assured that he will have to prepare for this type of test.
“In this edition the individual time trials are back, with two stages, which implies that we will have to do a good preparation of the time trials to tackle them in the best conditions,” said the Arka rider in statements sent by his team.
Quintana indicated that high arrivals will also be important and emphasized the stage with double ascent to Mont Ventoux, a pass for which he said he has a predilection, without forgetting those that will take place in the Alps and the Pyrenees.
The one from Boyac, who in the last edition could not contest the general for the problems suffered in the falls, assured that he would seek to be “at one hundred percent” in the next edition.
Quintana is now in the process of rehabilitation after having surgery on both knees.

The end of the last Tour of Quintana was marked by an investigation opened by the French gendarmerie for the alleged discovery of doping products in his hotel room.
The cyclist, who testified to officers, was released without charge, but investigations remain open.
