On Thursday night, Defense Minister Carlos Holmes Trujillo, together with the director of the National Police, General Óscar Atehortúa, notified – the group of 35 colonels from the institution – who were chosen to advance the Strategic course in Public Security (CESEP), which is a requirement to be promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

The uniformed men who may be promoted to the rank of brigadier general are: Tito Yecid Castellanos, Carlos Fernando Triana Beltrán, Wilson Javier González Delgadillo, Carlos Hunberto Rojas Pavón, Nicolás Alejadro Zapata Restrepo and Sandra Patricia Hernández Garzón.

According to the institution, for the six selected officers, this decision implies facing new challenges from now on with the purpose of continuing to contribute to the consolidation of the Institutional Strategic Plan 2019-2022 ‘Colombia bicentennial’, security with legality, and the process of Institutional modernization and transformation.
