Why? Santrich represents the hard core of the Farc, the same guerrilla that, to cite one case, murdered dozens of ex-militants of the Popular Liberation Army (Epl), under the same accusation now made by those who did continue in the process. : “Traitors”.
In effect, the State signed the peace accords with the Epl in February 1991. A very serious fact, in the opinion of Ariel Ávila, deputy director of the Fundación Pares, because in addition, the letter shows that what was known in Colombia as the FARC is “now broken” in several aspects – those who followed Timochenko, the dissidents, men who under the command of Gentil Duarte, among others – and without a single command but “with” irreconcilable “positions.
