Duque extends selective isolation until November 30 for the entire country

This Wednesday, the President of the Republic Iván Duque, announced in the “Prevention and Action” program that the selective isolation with individual distancing will be extended until November 30, maintaining the validity of the current conditions.

“During the month of October we have maintained selective isolation with responsible individual distancing and today I have given very clear instructions to the Minister of Health, after listening to all the experts and the comments, so that we issue a decree effective November 1, extending selective isolation until November 30 with responsible individual distancing ”, specified the head of state.

In turn, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Fernando Ruiz Gómez, after a meeting with the Governor of Antioquia, Aníbal Gaviria, and the Mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, announced the measures and recommendations for the department and its capital, that include a curfew for adults from next Friday, October 30 to Monday, November 2, from 10 pm to 6 am, among other measures.

So far, the mayors of the municipalities of El Carmen de Viboral, El Retiro, Santuario, Guarne, La Ceja, La Unión, Marinilla, Rionegro and San Vicente Ferrer They warned that any type of celebration on public roads will be prohibited until January 2021This includes celebrations such as Christmas, the day of the Candles and New Years.

Caldas

The coffee department also accepted the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection to avoid the increase in cases of covid-19 during the Halloween celebration on October 30.

Carlos Mario Marín, Mayor of Manizales, announced that the capital of the department will have a curfew for minors, due to the peak of infections that the city presents. Ríos also indicated that both shopping centers and other public establishments in the city will not be able to hold mass events to avoid crowds.

Tolima

The mayor of Ibagué, Andrés Felipe Hurtado, reported that The Tolima capital will have a curfew from 4 in the afternoon on Saturday, October 31 until 4 in the morning on Sunday, November 1.

For its part, the governor of Tolima, Ricardo Orozco Valero, indicated that parties and tours to ask for sweets were prohibited throughout the department, and he also pointed out that, from now on, the prohibition of December festivities such as Velitas, Christmas and New Years is contemplated.

The mayor of El Espinal, Juan Carlos Tamayo, also revealed that it is contemplated to decree a curfew in this Tolima municipality from 4 in the afternoon of Saturday, October 31, until 4 in the morning of Sunday, November 1. That same day the measure would be implemented from 5 in the afternoon, until the early hours of Tuesday, November 3.

Cundinamarca

In the central department of the country, a curfew was decreed in 14 municipalities Yacopí, Funza, Cajicá, Cachipay, La Mesa, Tocancipá, Cota, Tausa, Madrid and Villapinzón will have mobility restrictions for minors. And Sibaté, Soacha, Nariño and Zipaquirá will have a curfew for the entire community.

The mayor of Soacha, Juan Carlos Saldarriaga, announced that, in order to avoid crowds during the Halloween celebration, there will be a curfew for minors in the municipality. The measure will govern from 4 in the afternoon on Saturday, October 31, until 4 in the morning on Sunday, November 1.

The mayor also reported that parents who let minors out may face a fine of $ 930,000 pesos, in addition to the fact that minors could be taken to the ICBF.

In Zipaquirá, the mayor of the municipality, Wilson García Fajardo, announced that there will also be a curfew between 6 in the afternoon and 6 in the morning on Friday, October 30, until Sunday, November 1.

Boyacá

The department of Boyacá was the first to decree a curfew in all its municipalities on the three days from October 30 to November 2 at 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Cordova

The Government of the department decreed a curfew for minors, between October 30 and November 1, and dry law in all municipalities from Friday, October 30 at 5 pm to November 3 at 6 pm

Other cities

Measures against the pandemic
