After several days of intense search, the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the capture of Miguel Camilo Parra on the outskirts of Bogotá and had changed his appearance to go unnoticed. That happened at 10:30 at night on a farm in the municipality of Fusagasugá. He is accused of attempted murder against Ángela Ferro.
“By God it’s the best news” is the only pronouncement of the victim’s relatives who have not yet come out of the shock. They are overwhelmed by the joy that justice will be served, but there is also some fear because the attack against Ángela María Ferro was brutal in her house located in the El Redil neighborhood in Usaquén.
For her part, Ángela Ferro said that she still does not understand why her partner was able to commit such an attack. “He had already been aggressive, he had thrown me out of bed, he had tried to bite me but at the same time he was detailed and changed. It was as if they were two people”said the woman already in a state of recovery. He also confirmed that she already had an apartment ready to move in and end the relationship.
He also said that his son was not attacked because in the midst of the dysfunctional they had a good relationship. “His capture was a surprise, I am very nervous, I am happy, I know there is a long process coming but I am also very afraid. Former partners of him have appeared who suffered more or the same as me and who had to leave the country.”
What is known so far about Miguel Camilo Parra is that before living with Ángela del Pilar Ferro Gaitán he lived with his mother. He is 28 years old and those who know him point out that his romantic relationships have been problematic.
EL TIEMPO was able to talk to some people who preferred to hide their identity. They say that he is a religious fanatic who was part of the Rebaño de Lobos Christian church. But EL TIEMPO spoke with Chak García, pastor in that church, and although he admits that Miguel did go there three times and Angela, one time, they never advised the couple.
“I think the family is confusing us with another Christian church that he went to. He never let us help or advise him, ”said the pastor. Camilo’s income came from his job as a coach in a bilingual call center in Bogotá called Sitel.
They say that Angela met him through a dating app and that there he had introduced himself as a resident of Cedritos who owned a store.
They also point him out of being a homophobic person who did not tolerate members of the LGBTI community.
“I have my partner, we are gay, and while Angela was with him she separated a lot from us,” said one of the victim’s best friends. “He was possessive, manipulative, armed and has always been very rude to his aunt and mom.”
At that moment he is taken to the URI of Puente Aranda.
