Carla Josefina Segovia Salas, 5 years old, and with Venezuelan nationality, drowned on Sunday in a pool while sharing with her family in a recreational center in the municipality of Turbana. The pool was for adult use.
The mother of the minor, Johana Salas, told this media that her sister, who works on a farm near the recreation center, invited them to spend Sunday at the place, in the Mamonal-Gambote variant.
Apparently they arrived early, listened to music, ate and chatted. He adds that the place has two swimming pools: one for children and one for adults, and that in an oversight they lost sight of the minor.
“Show the cameras”
Johana is devastated, but there is something that is on her mind and does not give her peace of mind. “When it was 6 o’clock in the afternoon we started to collect things to leave and at that moment I realized that Carla was not there. “We started looking for her, it was rare that she suddenly got lost. The first place we looked was in the pools and she was not there, “he said.
He added that “when we searched the pools there was only one boy, who was not one of the family and he was alone. Then we went to look around, we thought she was hiding or someone kidnapped her. Then they called us to say that he was in the pool.
“When we arrived she was already out of the water and dead. The boy then contacted my sister on Facebook and told her that he had taken her out of the water and put his finger in her mouth to make her vomit, but we don’t understand when that happened and that is why we asked the police to investigate. “
The mother says that in the recreation center there are security cameras that would have recorded the moment, but she says that no one wants to show them. “We asked for the recordings and they ignored us. We told the police and the administrators of the place and they paid us no attention. I want to know how this happened because I still don’t understand and I need to investigate, “he said.
About the girl it was known that she lived with her relatives in the San Antonio neighborhood of Turbana, where she had lived for eight months. They came from Venezuela to find new ways to get ahead. His stepfather is known as ‘el Tigre’, a well-known person in the municipality.
