For almost two years, residents and tourists of Los Santos did not enjoy the imposing falls of the Salto del Duende, due to the drought.
But this weekend, nature again did its thing to show this natural wonder.
The waterfalls, over 100 meters, reappeared thanks to the heavy downpours of recent days.
The summer and the drought that occasionally plague this municipality, are the cause of this historical and cultural heritage of Los Santos, being hidden for long periods of time.
These water mirrors were last observed in November 2018, after six years of being inactive.
El Salto del Duende is located in the Mesa de los Santos and is part of the great mountain chain of the Chicamocha Canyon.
It is a tourist attraction on a huge cliff full of vegetation and rocks. Around it there is a very beautiful landscape, made up of farms dedicated to poultry and livestock production.
