The calculation of how much money Rappi earns in just one day comes after the newspaper El Tiempo reported that The platform could pay with its income of three days the historic fine of more than 1,700 million pesos imposed last week by the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
The media detailed that, in 2019, that Colombian company had a total of 201,000 million pesos in income.
The figures for this year are not yet known, but taking as a reference the immediately previous one, Rappi had, on average, daily income of more than 550 million pesos.
The foregoing confirms that, unlike what many thought after learning that the platform had been imposed the maximum sanction by the SIC, their finances will not be in check due to that fine.
In its announcement, the regulator explained that this penalty against a company of this style in Colombia was given by violation of consumer protection regulations.
For the SIC, the courier company violated the standards that regulate quality in the provision of the service, minimum and public price information, misleading advertising, the availability of correct returns, abusive clauses, legal obligations that arise during the development of distance sales and electronic commerce
