Police belonging to intelligence were killed in Córdoba

In the municipality of Puerto Libertador, south of the department of Córdoba, they were found near their truck the lifeless bodies of two uniformed men who were part of a special intelligence group of the Sijin of the National Police who carried out operations in this area.

The uniformed men, who have disappeared since Friday, were Subintendent Milton Eliécer Flórez Arcila and patrolman David Leonardo Bustamante Sánchez, both of whom worked in the ‘Agamemnon II Police Campaign’.

Through a statement, the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the National Police and INTERPOL regretted and rejected the events that occurred in the municipality of Puerto Libertador, Córdoba, around 6:45 am this Saturday, in the Corozalito village, and in circumstances that are the subject of investigation.

The institution indicated that it appointed a high-level investigative group to carry out the activities to collect information and material evidence in order to clarify the circumstances and causes of this fact, and to capture those responsible.

According to the National Police, Subintendent Milton Flórez had been serving the country for 11 years and 10 months and his life page contains nine decorations and 55 congratulations. Leaves two minor children.

For his part, the patrolman David Bustamante had entered the institution six years ago and had 13 decorations and 54 congratulations. He also leaves behind two minor children.

In the statement, the National Police expressed their solidarity and expressed their condolences to the families of those in uniform.
