According to the information provided, seven persons named were captured for the crime of drug trafficking in the metropolitan area of ​​Bucaramanga and the center of the country.

The events were recorded in Piedecuesta after arduous investigative work that allowed the issuance of search warrants to seven homes, where the authorities located the subjects.

In addition, around 5 pounds of marijuana, approximately 500 grams of cocaine, 56 coca base ballots, 200 grams of cocaine hydrochloride, jewelry, 4 grameras of different capacities, an electronic scale, 557 plastic bags with a hermetic seal were seized. different sizes, computers, 15 new sim cards, cell phones and more than a million pesos in cash.

This group would be dedicated to the processing, storage and commercialization of hallucinogenic substances in the municipality of Piedecuesta and, apparently, they would also be sending these substances to other departments such as Chocó, Huila and Quindío.

The detainees were at the disposal of the competent judicial authority and must answer for the crimes of aggravated conspiracy to commit a crime and aggravated trafficking, manufacture and possession of narcotics.

In this regard, Colonel Cesar Darío Montoya Delgado, Chief of Staff and Second Commander of the Fifth Brigade of the National Army, assured that this result “is an important impact because micro-trafficking directly affects young people and the perception of security in the localities of the area. metropolitan ”.
