A total failure in the electrical power supply in the Main Data Center, this Friday affected the normal operation of the Colombian Stock Exchange.
This situation affected the normal opening of the markets at the scheduled times. At 9:15 am, an emergency mechanism was set up for the operation of the Fixed Income and Derivatives markets.
“The reestablishment of normal trading services was carried out gradually to ensure the proper functioning of the platforms, the integrity of the information in the systems and the equality of access and operating conditions for all participants in each of the markets “, reported the BVC.
At around 10:20 am the normality status was restored in the Equities market (Shares), and at 10:45 am in the Derivatives market and finally, at 11:50 am, in the Fixed Income market ( Public debt). The negotiation of Private Debt will continue in the alternative registration mechanism (contingency) until the end of the day today.
Despite the incidents that prevented the regular opening of the markets, the BVC team managed to reestablish all its services during the morning hours.
“We regret the inconveniences presented, we appreciate the support and understanding of the agents and operators and we apologize for the inconvenience that this situation may have caused to our clients and users”, said the BVC.
