Through information provided by the Civic Participation Network, police units began the investigation and monitoring of economic activity that was carried out in the La Chinita farm, located in the rural area of the population.

The investigation revealed the entry of chemical elements for the processing of alkaloids. Therefore, a search and search warrant was requested before the Attorney General’s Office, which was developed on October 20.

When the investigators entered the farm, they found a complex laboratory for cocaine processing, two revolver-type firearms with 16 cartridges, a shotgun, eight communication equipment (cell phones), two microwave ovens, 24 cocaine panels of more than 20 kilos, half a pint of acetone, two gallons of hydrochloric acid, three packages of caustic soda, and eight bags of caffeine.

To evade the control of the authorities and prevent the strong smell, which usually emanates from these laboratories, from giving them away, This criminal group strategically built pig farms around the laboratory. Thus they managed to confuse the smell of the drug canine and the smell of their neighbors.
