Bancolombia reported that, thanks to a direct social dialogue with its unions, it carried out the signing of the 2020-2023 Collective Labor Agreement, within the direct settlement stage.

The entity stressed that the signing of this convention will be effective from November 1 to October 31, 2023, with which 13,000 employees will benefit, which are part of the bank’s operating charges and business lines in Colombia.

Regarding the announcement, Juan Carlos Mora, president of Bancolombia, said: “Our support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) leads us to prioritize the well-being of employees, and that is why with this direct agreement we seek to improve the living conditions of them and their families ”.

Mora explained that one of Bancolombia’s priorities, in times of financial crisis, is to ensure a competitive benefits scheme in which well-being is expressed in “Better housing conditions, greater health coverage, as well as improvements to the purchasing power of our employees.”

One of the most important agreements, explained the entity, has to do with a salary increase of 4.8% (for the first year), in addition to important increases in the amounts to access better housing conditions. There was also an increase in the coverage of the health policy with coverage above inflation.

“To highlight, the creation of an economic fund was established to expand the possibilities of studying a second language among the employees covered by the convention,” said Bancolombia.
