I prefer the warmth of the greens to the machiprogresismo of Petro

In the final speech of the 2018 presidential campaign Gustavo Petro, after acknowledging his defeat with Duque, began to thank all those who had been close to him, helping him. The list of course was very short, we know of their inability to work as a team. So, about to finish, he received the recrimination of Ángela María Robledo. Incredibly Petro had forgotten her. Reluctantly he had to accept that thanks to that woman he had obtained eight million votes, a totally unexpected figure for a man without empathy, cold and without charisma. Angela María’s presence on campaign posters made him seem more human. That rudeness was the first of many that the senator has done to the women who were active with him in Human Colombia.

I do not doubt the virtues of Hollman Morris, I know and admire him a lot as a journalist. I am not a judge to give judgments, but his macho black legend is ugly, it is a weight that no progressive should carry. Women like Maria Mercedes Maldonado, the architect of Human Colombia, left the community because of the arrogance that meant sacrificing the mayor of Bogotá supporting a sick horse that would never win. Claudia represented the opposite. Determined, with an undeniable gift of command, she put on the shirt and firmly beat Carlos Fernando Galán and crushed the one who put Petro. Thus the most mamertos petristas affirm it -among which Gustavo himself is counted, what a shame- the green ones are not Uribe with jean and long hair. Claudia, from the mayor’s office of Bogotá, has known how to oppose the government and all its neoliberal stupidity and tried, as far as she could, to stop the economic activation demanded by the true owners of this country in the midst of a pandemic. They, the ones who give orders to the people to go out to the streets to buy from their farms on the Nile Cundinamarca and in Anapoima, are the great rivals that must be defeated next 2022. They are Uribismo.

That is why it seems absurd to me that Petrism has appropriated morality. If it’s not Petro, then it’s nobody. He will be isolated with the UP, a long-suffering party, which we admire and respect a lot, but which never evolved. We do not want an anachronistic Stalinist who despises women, as did the vast majority of his comrades in the M-19, as president in 2022. I would risk it from now on for the Green Party. Ángela María Robledo is a good excuse to get away from Petrism. The Greens are not just Fajardo. Iván Marulanda may have the same intellectual capacities as Petro, who must stop thinking that it is the sun on which all of us who no longer want Uribe will turn.

I applaud Ángela María Robledo’s decision to leave where she is not wanted. That the machiprogresistas continue to ooze their hatred but Paloma Valencia is right: Petro will never be president. His ego and his machismo will always prevent him.
