The eighteenth stage between Pinzolo and Laghi di Cancano, in the Stelvio National Park, of 207 kilometers, will be five stars and is presumed as one of the keys in this Giro d’Italia. A day without respite that ascends the Stelvio, at an altitude of 2,758 meters.
More than 200 kilometers and only 4 climbs, but the accumulated unevenness is 5,400 meters, a fact that imposes respect for the men in the peloton, who will have to start climbing the first difficulty, the Passo Campo Carlo Magno (2 Cat. with 14.2 km at 5.8%).
After 45 kilometers, turn to Passo Castrin / Hofmahdjoch (1 Cat. With 8.6 Km to 8.9), a recently opened Indian port that leads to Val d’Ultimo / Ultental.
