The presidents of the Senate and the Chamber, Arturo Char and Germán Blanco, received from the Head of State, Iván Duque, the request to process the bill that creates tax incentives for the financing of vaccines against covid with an urgent message -19.
This project was presented since the middle of the year by the representative to the Chamber of the Democratic Center, Ricardo Ferro of the Democratic Center, in which there is a regulation to encourage companies that make donations to the sub-account of mitigation of emergencies of the National Fund Risk Management to finance the purchase of this vaccine.
According to Ferro, “with the support of the President of the Republic it is clear that this project is of the utmost importance for the country, with the vaccine law any Colombian will be able to vaccinate for free as soon as we have the vaccines here in Colombia.”

The representative recalled that this law also guarantees free, universal and rapid access to the vaccine against covid-19, “this project includes the mechanism of ‘tax vaccines’, so that individuals and businessmen can also join. to the massive acquisition of vaccines and the money that they allocate for the purchase of the same, half of those resources are deducted from the income tax return ”, said the congressman.
The project must be approached with the urgent study in the Third Committees and then it will go to the plenary sessions of the Senate and Chamber, with which it would be possible to sanction it before the end of the year.
