Through his Twitter account, Senator Gustavo Petro on Tuesday denounced the murder of two members of Colombia Humana, the political movement that he leads.
The first case is that of Eduardo Alarcón Córdoba, who was murdered in Campoalegre, Huila. Alarcón was a social and agrarian leader who was active in that political movement.

According to information provided by relatives of Herrera, the events occurred around 12:30 pm on Tuesday, when the lawyer was going to his place of work.
In the village of La Cabrera, on the road that leads from Popayán to Coconuco, Puracé, armed men shot him four times with a firearm. The political leader was transferred to the La Estancia clinic in the Cauca capital, but he did not survive.
Herrera was a member of the Colombia Humana movement and was the manager of Gustavo Petro’s presidential campaign in Cauca.
