On August 18, the relatives of the young Nicolás Ayala denounced his disappearance in the municipality of Lebrija, in Santander.

The Police Gaula initiated an investigation once he received the complaint from the families on line 164.
“Through call interceptions, technical controls and judicial activities, it was possible to establish that they were people who knew well the family environment of the kidnapped, as well as the economic demands demanded by criminals to the relatives of the victim for the rescue of this person, ”they indicated from the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police.
Two months after the investigation began, they managed to collect the evidence necessary for a judge to order the capture of Ricardo Jaimes, 40, and Yesid Sanabria, 24, who would be the presumed responsible for the kidnapping and disappearance of Nicolás Ayala.

The men were captured in Girón and Barrancabermeja and at the time of the raids elements were found that compromised those caught with the crimes.
“Five cell phones, cameras, written on a notebook sheet, sim card, USB sticks, clothes, cell phone purchase invoices and a motorcycle with which this person is presumed to make the trips so that they could make calls from different points of the Metropolitan Area extortive ”, says the Police.
A guarantee control judge sent them to jail, and immediately after one of the captured provided information about the place where the victim was during his captivity and where the lifeless body of the kidnapped was found.
“Two citizens were captured for the kidnapping of a 20-year-old in Lebrija and for this fact they were charged with aggravated extortion kidnapping and forced disappearance,” said Oliden Riaño, director of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Santander.

The authorities arrived at the place indicated by the captured where they actually found a body buried in the rural area of Lebrija, Santander.
The remains of this person were sent to Legal Medicine where the DNA identification of this person is expected, which could be the young Nicolás Ayala.
