The victim of the reprehensible act was identified as Ángela del Pilar Ferro Gaitán, 30 years old. His family points to Miguel Camilo Parra, his partner, as the person responsible for the attack, which he committed in his own house in the El Redil neighborhood, in the town of Usaquén.

Friends and family reported the incident on social media. A user identified as Óscar Salazar, for example, detailed on Facebook that the attack, in which the woman received 7 ax hits to the skull, happened around 2:00 in the morning on Saturday, October 17.

In addition, he assured that before escaping from the house, where the victim was dying, the man threatened a minor under 12, the woman’s son, telling him that if he told something he would do the same to him.

The attack, says RCN Radio, occurred after an argument between the couple – who had been in a relationship for a year – in which the man made several claims of jealousy.

The aggressor has a collection of axes, as shown by some of his photos on social networks, and at some point during the discussion he took one of them to attack his partner in front of the minor.

This was confirmed by Jeisson Díaz, a relative of the young woman in El Tiempo: “He has six axes in the house and he took one of them, the smallest, to give my sister seven blows.”

Jonathan Tuta, a friend of the attacked woman, added in that diary that it was precisely “his son who called for help and completely horrified”. The newspaper assures that the woman not only has injuries to the head, but also to the face and body.

The victim also has several blows, which would show that the aggressions were constant because her family assured that she had been having problems in the relationship because Parra was very jealous and possessive.

The relatives of the victim confirmed that the woman survived but is in delicate condition in an Intensive Care Unit of the Fundación Cardio Infantil, where she had to undergo neurosurgery.

As Parra managed to escape before the police arrived, the family released photographs of him so that the public could help locate him. In his Facebook post, Salazar said that the man’s family lives in the El Codito neighborhood and is likely hiding in that area of the city.

The relatives have already filed the complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office for what they consider a clear attempt to femicide and ask the authorities for the prompt capture of this man who they consider a danger to society.

Salazar made the complaint on Facebook, with information from Ferro and Parra, photographs of the couple and other images. Pulzo refrains from sharing the publication out of respect for the victim, as the publication contains strong images about the woman’s injuries and the rugged and bloody scene left by the brutal attack.

However, here are some images taken from that ‘post’, in which the aggressor is seen carrying the ax. This is a screenshot of the man’s Instagram profile, which has already been closed.
