Since the end of 2013, Raul Giraldo is the largest shareholder of Deportivo Independiente Medellín. Now, in a video posted on the club’s social networks, Giraldo announced the sale of his share package.

During the period in which he was in charge of the club, Medellín won a League title (2016-I) and last year won the Colombia Cup. However, the club’s present is not good, sportingly speaking: it ranks 13th in the League and was eliminated from the Copa Libertadores in the group stage.

Giraldo reiterated that the club is up to date on all its obligations and hopes to maintain the sporting course while the sale is finalized.
