After his 2-1 win against Envigado on the 14th BetPlay League, Millonarios was five points behind eighth place in the tournament, the one that delivers the last quota to the final home runs.

Those led by Alberto Gamero ended their eight-game winless streak and got the three points that their fans had been waiting for months. The Blues are in position 16 of the table, but between them and Junior, who is eighth, things are quite even.

Millionaires were given good results this day taking into account that Junior did not win and they lost Equidad and Alianza, other teams that are in the fight for the last place in the final phases. Many fans of Colombian football take the elimination of the ‘ambassador’ team for granted, but the truth is that it still has mathematical possibilities.

On the next date, The Bogota citizens will host Patriotas, the worst team in the league at the El Campín stadium and then they will travel to Barranquilla to face Junior, a direct rival in their goal of achieving the feat of qualification.

The calendar of the capital is not easy since afterwards they will have matches against Nacional and América, two of their classic rivals.

Only two consecutive wins can seriously bring Millionaires closer to a scenario of being able to compete for eighth place in the table. The week and a half will be more than decisive for the sporting future of the team.
