The rape was registered in June when the minor left her home and was abused by the uniformed men of the Artillery Battalion No. 8 of the Eighth Brigade of the Army.

At the hearing at the Office of the Attorney General, soldier Santiago Bedoya Valencia declared that they were placed in training in the military unit and that the victim identified those responsible for the rape registered on June 21.

He said that initially three of the uniformed men denied their responsibility in the events and then two of them, Juan Camilo Morales Poveda and Yair Stiven González, acknowledged that they did.

He added that in his statement to the Prosecutor’s Office he did not tell the whole truth of the facts and that Sergeant Díaz told them what they had to declare before the authorities.

He indicated that his superior told him to declare that they moved from place to place every day and did not stay in the same place all the time and that this was not true and that in fact they had settled in a school at the exit of the Santa corregimiento school. Cecilia. He said that they were there at the school even though they were prohibited from staying in such institutions.

The prosecutor in the case warned him that he had to tell the truth and that in the process there was information that soldiers who participated in the rape called other uniformed men to participate in the aberrant attack on the minor.

To which the witness ended up pointing out that that night the soldier Gil Alzate called him and asked him where he was but that he did not say anything else.

Another of the uniformed men heard confirmed that his superiors gave them instructions on the versions they had to give, but that he did not pay attention to them and if he told the truth about what happened.

The witness said that while they were conducting patrols in the area, they saw the minor sitting next to a tree near the school and that she was drawing pictures in a notebook. She indicated that the sergeant accompanying them spoke for a few minutes with her.

He said that the girl had in her drawings a cell number and images of male and female sexual organs.
