A passenger plane crashed when it passed near the municipality of Ubaté, in the north of Cundinamarca. The plane crash leaves three people dead.
Four people were traveling on the HK 2335-G aircraft, including the pilot, and a minor.
The adults, including two women, died and the minor was injured and was referred to the municipal hospital.
Gina Herrera, director of the Cundinamarca Risk Management office, reported that among the deceased were identified as the surgeon Fabio Grandas, Mayerly Díaz Rojas and Nuris Maza.
The twin-engine accident, according to the Cundinamarca Fire Department, was reported at 5:15 in the afternoon and is being attended by the Ubaté firefighters. The aircraft crashed into the place known as Novilleros.
According to Captain Álvaro Farfán, delegate of the Cundinamarca Fire Department, the accident was reported to line 123 and immediately the Ubaté Fire Department and Police units moved to the scene.
“At this moment the area of the accident was cordoned off,” Farfán reported.
The events that caused this plane crash are unknown and are being investigated.
