A man died in the waters of Lake Calima on Monday, as confirmed by Martín Alfonso Mejía, mayor of that municipality, through a statement.
The 25-year-old, identified as William Daniel Angulo, from Cali, lost his life this afternoon at the Calima Reservoir, according to the text.

“The Municipal Administration stands in solidarity with family and friends at this difficult time and sends its most sincere condolences,” they indicated.
Apparently, two minors were drowning in the lake, when Angulo found out he came to their aid and managed to rescue them, but he would have drowned.
The municipal authorities were present at the scene to implement the respective investigations that allow the search for the body to begin.
It should be noted that this event occurred on Monday, October 12 and not on September 12, as the statement says by mistake.
