At dawn on Monday, the young businessman Richard Castro, owner of the La Gran Estación restaurant bar, located in the north of the city of Neiva, was assassinated.
The first versions of this fact indicate that the businessman was in the establishment after having carried out the closure, when he was surprised by two armed men who arrived on a motorcycle to steal the product.
An official source indicated that, a first offender entered the establishment with a traumatic weapon, but in the middle of the robbery the supplier fell, for this reason, a second subject entered that when he saw that Richard Castro tried to hide, he shot him with a gun from behind.
The criminals fled the scene with a briefcase that carried the money from the profits and some personal items of the victim.
The Metropolitan Police, in a timely reaction, deployed a padlock plan operation, supported by monitoring by security cameras, which allowed the capture of one of those responsible, identified as Joan Sebastián Delgado Vanegas, alias “La Chilga”, who would be the motorcycle rider and person who operated the firearm.
At the time of the capture, the weapon with which the homicide was committed was not found, but the security cameras allow us to establish that it is the person directly involved.
The authorities are on the trail of the other accomplice of this fact, and in turn, the Municipal Administration has arranged a reward of $ 3,000,000 for whoever provides truthful information on the whereabouts of the second responsible.
