The mayor reproached, in a live made by Facebook, that between a headquarters of the 13th Brigade of the Army and one of the Metropolitan Police, a “crime emporium” is being formed, and for the same reason she indicated that an intervention must be made ” very hard”.
In that sense, Claudia López met with her Secretary of Security, Hugo Acero and several soldiers, and told them that in the area they should put at least 10 more positions of uniformed men to take care of security.
Acero was receptive, later saying that after the 2016 Bronx raid “everyone was kicked out” because that was not the case. However, the mayor of Bogotá interrupted his official and asked him not to complain, but to implement measures in this regard.

López’s attitude, which created controversy by raising the possibility of investing resources in changing the color of SITP buses, was criticized by former candidate for Mayor of Bogotá Miguel Uribe, who suggested that she was arrogant and mistreated Acero, as read in the following trill.
