The sixfold English world champion Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) who reinforced their leadership in the F1 World Cup by winning the Eifel Grand Prix this Sunday, equaling the German’s record for victories in the premier class (91) Michael Schumacher, received his helmet from his son, Mick, on the podium at the Nürburgring.
Mick, leader of Formula 2, who was going to make his debut in the first free practice on Friday – he was going to do it aboard an Alfa Romeo – but could not ride due to the fact that the day was canceled due to bad weather, handed him over to Hamilton one of the helmets used by the ‘Kaiser’, still convalescing from the serious ski accident he suffered at the end of 2013 in Meribel (French Alps), when he was a Mercedes driver (2010-2012).

The Englishman now leads the World Cup with 230 points, 69 more than his Finnish teammate Valtteri Bottas and with 83 over Verstappen.
