On one side of the road, in a rural area of ​​Jamundí, the bodies of four young men were found. They had gunshot wounds to the head, according to complaints from the community.

The quadruple crime caused, again, pain and confusion in this region of southern Valle del Cauca, one of the entrances to the National Natural Park Farallones, in limits with the municipalities of Cali, Dagua and Buenaventura.

The preliminary report says that this multiple murder took place during the early hours of Friday in La Meseta, Comuneros village, on the road to Villacolombia. The mayor of Jamundí, Andrés Felipe Ramírez, in his Twitter account, pointed out that the Army went to the area to confirm the violent act.

The victims wore sports shoes, three wore jean and one dark blue pants. The family of one of them reportedly appeared on the site. So far no identities have been reported.

On January 15, five people were found murdered on the road to La Meseta. Two burned cars and another destroyed and shot appeared at the site. This situation was attributed to clashes between armed gangs and dissidents. The ‘Clan del Golfo’, ‘Los Pelusos’ and dissidents move in the area.

At 10:30 in the morning on Sunday, August 30, Cristian Camilo Vergara, 46, a retired major in the Army, but who was cycling recreationally, was assassinated.

The victim was traveling with three other cyclists to the La Estrella sector, on the road to San Vicente, a rural area of ​​Jamundí, where they were closed off by armed men who took Vergara, who was wearing a T-shirt, shorts and sports shoes. Then they assassinated him in a place.

On the night of May 4, the murder of two men was reported because they allegedly violated mandatory preventive isolation. They were attacked by an armed gang that first interrogated them and then shot them.
