Duque replied to a citizen, who asked about the reopening of the casinos, that these establishments could not open this April 27, when various economic sectors will begin to activate in the midst of the quarantine, Caracol Radio reported.
Even so, citizens will be able to go out to do lottery, chaces, and games of luck and chance, according to decree 593, which presents the 41 cases in which Colombians can move around the streets without being fined.
According to the president, quoted by the station, the gambling industry represents many millions for the health sector, and, therefore, mayors asked him to allow these services to function during quarantine.

“We include in the public order decree, where there is the regime of exceptions within the framework of compulsory preventive isolation, gambling and chance services, but particularly those that have to do with chance and lottery, and many people ask me, but why. That is something that many mayors have asked us (…) because we are talking about a sector that represents hundreds of billions of dollars a year for health, ”explained the president, according to the station.
Besides the chance and the lottery, the manufacturing, construction and bicycle sectors (sale and repair) will be able to reactivate their production starting this Monday, complying with the health conditions established by the Government.
