They find remains of a missing woman inside the refrigerator of her house in Bogotá

The remains of a woman who had been reported missing for two days were found inside the refrigerator of her home by units of the Bogotá Police.

The macabre discovery was made in the evening of this Tuesday by a group of uniformed men who went to the house, located in the Quinta Paredes neighborhood, after a brother of the victim notified the authorities that he had no information about the whereabouts of your relative.

“Upon entering, they find a person who was asking for his mother, they search inside the house and when they open the refrigerator they find human remains,” explained Colonel Mariel Villarreal, police inspection officer, to Caracol Radio.

The officer added that “it is understood that the woman’s son has mental problems and at this moment the judicial unit is making the verifications and possible capture of this person.”

The aforementioned son of the woman, who is the main suspect in the case, is 41 years old and suffers from schizophrenia, spokespersons who attend the case to the newspaper El Tiempo revealed.

The investigation of the case was left to the CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office
