Diana Marín, 23, was dedicated to saving lives at the hospital in Itagüí. The young nurse died after falling into an abyss when he was hiking in the place known as Santo del Ángel, in Envigado.
According to witnesses, when Diana was climbing a mountain an electric shock was registered and from the fright she let go of the rope, falling about 15 meters high. The young woman died immediately.
“There is an area with very difficult access where they have to lean on ropes that are placed by someone from the community without any technique,” said Captain Luis Bernardo Morales, commander of the Envigado Volunteer Fire Department.
Given this fact, the authorities gave recommendations not to make tours in areas that are not delimited and more during this week of recess.
“That they are informing us what they see differently, what strangers see in the place and always be accompanied,” suggested Colonel Daniel Mazo, operational commander of the Metropolitan Police.
The emergency was attended by 16 firefighters from Envigado. The rescue of the body lasted about nine hours due to the difficulty of the terrain.
