At a press conference, Alberto Gamero spoke about the bitter draw of Millonarios against Bucaramanga in El Campín. The DT focused on creating opportunities, which in his concept was good, and the lack of definition, subject to work.
Let us remember that Millonarios has not won since Colombian football returned, they have three draws and one defeat (three of them played at home).
This was what he said:
– Millonarios missed the goal. In football the essence is the goal. Today I saw the team ready to play well, to have possession and win the game. We had them. Today we generate on the sides, with the ball still, which is a point to improve. Most of the party was dominated by Millionaires, controlled. Bucaramanga did not come just once. In defense we improved and in offense we had it. They lacked tranquility and understanding how to decide in the last third of the court. We created them but we didn’t put them in.
– The team’s concern is not being able to score because we created them. We have more than the opponent but we don’t put them in. Worries. We have created 8-10 goal actions between last game and this one, but leave the peace of mind that the team improved defensively. It was good to clear the arc. We will not lower our arms, while there are possibilities we will continue fighting.
– I worry if the team does not create goal options. Most of the game was spent on our offensive part. We could lose him on the backlash, but we knew that could happen. The sides came out constantly. Where we get most confused is in the famous zone 14, but we got there. The difficult thing is to elaborate, we do it but we don’t put it in.
– Today there was great work from the forwards. Chico flying and Márquez fixing the two centrals. Bucaramanga did not leave spaces, however there were chances of arrival. You have to sharpen your aim but the spaces were created.
