In Valle del Cauca, 20 more citizens died from covid-19 and 517 contracted the disease, the Ministry of Health confirmed this Friday.

In this way, Valle del Cauca, the fourth department in Colombia with the highest contagion rate, behind Cundinamarca, Antioquia and Atlántico, reached 63,784 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.

The deaths correspond to patients from Cali (12), Palmira (2), Yumbo, Ulloa, Florida, Yumbo, Tuluá and Buga (1).

At the national level, 6192 new cases were reported, bringing the total to 841,531.

Of these, 59,342 remain active, while 753,953 outgrew the virus.

Across the country, 201 deaths from covid-19 were reported. Deaths due to the disease are already 26,397.

The National Institute of Health, INS, clarified that 171 of the reported deaths occurred in previous days.

On the other hand, he pointed out that this Friday 28,407 PCR tests and 14,137 antigens were processed for the detection of the virus.
