Colombian President Iván Duque expressed his desire for a speedy recovery to his North American counterpart, Donald Trump, diagnosed as positive for covid-19 this Friday morning.

“Given the news of having been diagnosed as positive for # COVID19 we express our solidarity to the President of the United States, @realDonaldTrump and to the first lady, @MELANIATRUMP,” Duque wrote on his Twitter account. “We wish them a speedy recovery,” he added.
The president of the United States and the first lady, Melania, have tested positive for coronavirus. This was communicated early this Friday by the Head of State of the United States.

“We started our quarantine and the recovery process immediately. We will all get out of this together “he added in his tweet.
The White House doctor, Sean B. Conley, issued a statement in which he confirmed the positive in the Sars-CoV-2 test of the president and the first lady.

The doctor also indicated that both are well and that they will remain in the White House during convalescence. “The medical team will maintain vigilance, we appreciate the support that great medical professionals and institutions in the country have offered us. Rest assured that the president will continue to carry out his duties without interruption while he recovers ”.
Duque and Trump have a very good relationship.
