At the request of Colombia, an extraordinary meeting of the OAS Permanent Council was held for the Human Rights violations in Venezuela

Colombia’s mission to the OAS, together with those of Brazil, the United States, and Venezuela, met on Tuesday in special session of the Permanent Council to analyze the situation of Venezuelan institutions and the report of a UN International Mission on crimes against humanity in that country.

Finally, the Presidential Commissioner for Foreign Relations of Venezuela He insisted with the request that the legislative elections of December 6, promoted by the Nicolás Maduro regime, not be held.

Also the ambassador of the United States in the Organization of American States (OAS), before the Permanent Council of the organization, Carlos Trujillo, spoke about crimes against humanity in the country.

“After these exhibitions there is no doubt that the brutal control of the illegitimate Maduro regime has led to massive human rights violations. (…) He has also committed electoral fraud to undermine democratic institutions, ”he said while commenting that Maduro will continue to torture those who stand in his way.
